TRIGGER WARNING
A caveat to be aware of: more than likely you will get triggered at some point during the course of a transformational therapy - this is something to be expected and in fact this is an opportunity for you to heal and grow. Become curious about your resistances and their origins, and have the courage to lean into them, for your freedom and growth are just beyond the boundaries of your discomfort.

There is a healthy time for every seemingly negative emotion or state (i.e. depression, denial, anger, blame, sadness, grieving, etc.). You can stay there as long as you chose to or as long as is necessary for you.
However, if you are truly ready to move on and embark on a transformational journey, you will be pushed to give up familiar sufferings and stories you have been clinging onto and telling to yourself and others for so long. The stage of healing is simply not for everyone.
No matter how safe and easy the process of transformation is made for you by a therapist working with you, letting go of your past self and turning into a more whole and mature version of yourself will not come without any resistance at all.
