These two exercises are slightly different but they both work well. I would recommend doing them both at different times rather that preferring one over the other. They complement each other well and help you move towards your desired reality faster, isn't it what you want?

First Exercise (40 wishes)

From time to time it is a must really to do an exercise where you write 40 statements about what you want in your life or your life to be like in the next year, 5 years, etc. It sounds pretty much like goal setting, but when you approach it differently, that what makes all the difference. You can go bold and just imagine what you want in your desired reality, give yourself permission and freedom to allow yourself to have the things and experiences that you really want but was not allowing yourself before because of 'reasonable' considerations. It is important to be honest at least with yourself about how you want your life to be. 40 statements is quite a lot, so you can include not very big wishes too. It is also important to exhaust your list of desires, to get to the bottom of it to make sure you had an opportunity to express everything. If you get stuck and it gets challenging to come up with new desires, keep going for as long as you can, then you can take a break and come back to it later. Try to be specific - write down numbers, quantities and detailed descriptions of things. You can include something as big as new properties or businesses or as small as 5 new pairs of specific shoes or owning a particular branded item that you just didn't get a chance to buy because you were too busy recently or because you didn't realise before how much you really wanted these things in the first place and how happy they would make you feel. It is easy to get carried away by materialistic things or other credentials, however, don't forget to think about what you want in terms of relationships or your own state of mind.

This exercise really helps to do a revision of your current life as a whole and get clarity about the things that you want to improve. Re-reading your desires helps you reconnect with them and feel them better. You can apply the Second Exercise to some of your wishes right after you finished your list. It will require you to focus on your wishes for some time, think and 'obsess' over them.

However, after that, it is a good idea to put this list aside and keep it in a safe place to disconnect from it and let the universe run its course. When you look at it again after some time, you would be amazed to see how many things have actually became a part of your reality since when you first wrote it. Reflecting on the wishes that have not manifested yet can help you better align with them or readjust the wishes so that they do manifest in your life too.

Second Exercise (aligning with your desires)

This exercise will tell you if the desire you have is authentic or it’s a “should,” because it’s either going to be easy to imagine & exciting to write down, or it’s going to feel unnatural, like dread or anxiety. Your body holds all of the answers you could ever want, so do yourself a favour and listen to your physical cues (feeling of excitement vs anxiety).

So here is how you do it!

  • Grab something to write with and a piece of paper or a journal. Find a comfortable space to write in, preferably one where you won’t be interrupted.

  • Next, close your eyes and imagine the situation that you want to manifest into your reality. It may be easier to focus on how you want to feel. Some questions to ask yourself are:

What would I be seeing if I had what I wanted?

How would I be feeling if I had what I wanted?

What would I be hearing if I had what I wanted?

  • Give yourself time to really dream big. Feel & imagine what you want as if you had it today. You know you are on the right track when your body feels relaxed but also excited.

  • When you’ve got that vision clear in your mind, write down everything you envisioned in the present tense. For example, you would write “I feel… I have…” statements instead of “I would feel… I would have..” The point here is to make this desire feel familiar to your mind. You are showing your mind that you have what you want and it feels good, instead of telling your mind, I want this but I don’t have it.

Write down what you saw in your vision, start with just a couple of sentences & let it flow. There are no rules here besides writing it in the present tense. It doesn’t matter how long it is, but definitely allow yourself to be carried away with the vision. Again, you can ask yourself the questions from above to get you going (What am I seeing/feeling/hearing?)

But you’re not done yet!

When you feel finished writing down your visions, read what you’ve written back to yourself. Add anything you’ve forgotten, but more importantly, read back what you’ve written and allow yourself to get excited about it. I often feel this heart-opening, heart-fluttering feeling when I read back my manifestation visions, and that’s how I know it’s in alignment for me.

Once you’ve read it to yourself a couple of times (or maybe once is enough) close your eyes again and meditate on the images & feelings you’ve created from thin air. Stay in it for a little while, and allow those feelings to build within you. When that feels complete (doesn’t have to be long, could be 1–2 min), say to yourself in your mind or out loud, Okay universe, I’ve made myself clear. Show me the next step.”

After you’ve done that, release this exercise from your mind. No need to obsess about it. You’ve done important work, now it’s time to let it go and continue with your day as normal. You can practice this 1–2 times a day (or more if that feels good to you!).

But what if you don’t feel excited about what you wrote?

Ask yourself the following & spend some time writing down your answers:

  • Is this truly what I want?

  • Does someone else (or society) want this for me?

  • Do I feel pressure to make this happen?

  • I feel anxiety/dread/resistance because…

Sometimes, in order to feel truly excited about and aligned with what you desire, more reflection is needed to make necessary adjustments to your desired reality. And the most important part that people often forget about is that manifesting requires to work on your worthiness & self-acceptance as well as limiting beliefs and past trauma. Because these are pretty much the only obstacles preventing you from manifesting your desires into your life. If you didn't have them, most likely you wouldn't even need to try to manifest the desired reality because it would have effortlessly found you where you are already.
